Email from admissions?

My friend just told me that she received an email notification about the release date for decisions, indicating Monday, March 21st.
However, I can't confirm this because I haven't seen the email myself, nor have I received from the admissions office.
I wanted to know if anyone else had received this email?
Last year admissions decisions were released on Friday, March 19, 2010. I haven't checked the website myself, but the last time I saw that they would be released this Friday, March 18th.
Has anyone heard anything?

This is what is says on the admission website.

By March 18, 2011 Regular Decision notices will be posted on-line.

I did not see it on the admissions website, so I just called and the individual who answered the phone said that it was posted as the 18th by mistake. She indicated that decisions will be posted on MyNova some time during the day on March 21st. Good luck!

By late March Regular Decision notices will be posted on-line.

March 18 has been replaced on mynova to “late March”.

Thanks everyone for the responses!
My friend just forwarded me the email she received, I’m just surprised I didn’t get one too. Did anyone else?

“Here at Villanova University, we understand that waiting for the release of admission decisions can be an exciting, but anxious time. We want to let you know that Admission decisions will be available in the myNOVA portal on Monday, March 21, 2011, and the letters will be mailed at the same time. Please note: Anyone who has applied for need-based financial assistance will be able to view their aid eligibility on Friday, March 25, 2011.”

Did not receive that email from Admissions, so wondering if that is a bad sign…Sounds like we will know on Monday.

Wondering what program your friend applied to.

@NYmama I think she applied Arts and Sciences, because she wants premed. I applied VSB.

I still haven’t gotten the email notifying me about Monday. I’m thinking maybe the notification date emails are rolling?
I remember they did myNova portal emails/letters rolling, because when people were setting up accounts I didn’t have one, I emailed admissions and said that letters were still coming out.
Maybe rolling emails then?

Check your myNova. It is now posted to my son’s portal.

When I logged into the website–it stated that decisions will be released on March 21st. Did not receive an email though

Click on that announcement & you will see the message.

S did not get the email, but found this posted today after 4:00pm on My Nova:

Such a let down finding out that the news won’t come on Friday as expected, can’t imagine the disappointment if the news isn’t positive on Monday! Nova is his first choice.

Villanova is my daughter’s first choice too, although she is a junior.
We went and visited during end of Spring last year and that is the school she has compared every other place we looked. She also just took her 2nd SAT so hopefully after March 31 she will be done. She wanted to concentrate on her essay and AP and subject tests the rest of this school year.

May I please ask those that are waiting…did you go back for an interview?
I think she will register to go back and speak to admissions to show more interest.

Thank you.

Good luck to all!

To answer jstapleton’s question, I don’t believe Villanova gives interviews. They only interview prospective students who are finalists for the presidential scholarship. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I am almost 100 percent sure.

Olini616 is correct. There are no interviews for admission, however I think they also started interviewing for other scholarships in addition to the Presidential.

i didnt get an email… i hope not getting one isnt one of those cryptic ways of telling students they arent accepted :(

Karmic93, Go to mynova and look on the left side under announcements.

Does anyone have any idea around what time they will be posting decisions on mynova?
