Oh no! I got an email saying some credentials are
Missing! What do I do! I have sent everything in. Am i gonna get rejected now? Please help im like crying

They send you an email to let you know that you are missing items so you can turn them in before they review your app. That means you still have time to turn in the items. Just get them in as soon as possible and you’ll be fine.

what’s missing?

Test scores! I already sent them in.

Nyu lost them i think:( ugh what do i do now::::::

Do you have an e-mail from the SAT or ACT showing that you directed them to send your scores to NYU? If so, forward that e-mail to NYU to show them that you attempted to comply with their deadline. Then get on the phone with NYU and discuss - or do that once you’ve found the e-mail but before you send it to them. And if necessary, contact the SAT or ACT people and have them forward the scores again!!

I did all of that! Apparently nyu isnt processing my scores. After talking to ten people i found out that some info is
Matching up with my application and the scores! I am so confused right now! I hate this!!! I always have issues. This has never happened before . I was sending 3 sat subject tests and ap exams to nyu.

When did you send the scores?

Have you fixed that yet? Just rush your score or make a screenshot of your sat scores and email it to the admission office.

ITS NOT THAT SIMPLE PEOPLE.
they are saying that something on my app and something on my scores does not match up. like what the hell. this never happened for any other school what am i supposed to do now ? no one cares but i do. nyu is my dream school, and though a reach, i would not wanna get rejected because they didn’t get my scores…life sucks.

Oh thats terrible! I’m sure it’s just a problem with the testing agency, it will probably sort itself out soon.

newyorkmydreams

You need to calm down.

First if the college is asking you for something just figure out a way to send IT.

How it is to be sent can be confirmed from the office of the admissions.

You might have to hold the line for a long time and call them a few number of times, totally understandable considering the number of applications, but somebody will attend to you and tell you what and how exactly the document is required to be sent.

Also to be on the safer side except the SAT, which only collegeboard can send, all other documents can be scanned and sent through courier and scanned and emailed, these have to have school stamp and councilor signatures though.

SAT, as somebody pointed out earlier you can send a screen shot and on SAT site they have something like score summary, and if yours shows scores sent to NYU, then maybe a screen shot of that too can be sent.

If you have applied RD there is plenty of time, and if it is ED and if your application has made it out of the huge pile, they will give you time to resubmit anything that is missing.

So just breathe and do what needs to be done. Everything is going to be fine.

For you information, the amount of paperwork that adcoms are dealing with is phenomenal.

“NYU today announced that it had another record year for freshman applications: a total of 43,728 men and women applied for spots in NYU’s class of 2016 at both its New York and Abu Dhabi campuses, exceeding last year’s record for total applications of 42,242. Applications for freshman admission to NYU have more than quadrupled over the past two decades, and NYU has received a record-number of applications for five consecutive years.”

[NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications For 5th Year in a Row](<a href=“NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications For 5th Year in a Row”>NYU Receives Record Number of Freshman Applications For 5th Year in a Row)

Welll I’m ED so it is a reason to worry. I’ve already called everyone and they still don’t know what the issue is .

Worry is good as it shows you care.

And figure out what exactly is not matching, maybe you punched in some numbers on your commonapp which are different from your SAT or Transcript. I am sure you have a copy of your commonapp, sit down and compare it with the (SAT and Transcript) Scores sent and you should be able to sort it out. And in case there is mismatch, you can always send an explanation. I am sure they will understand.

And if there is no mismatch that too can be highlighted and that should be the end of it.

As per your post no.7 that is what the issue seems to be.

thanks for the feedback. the thing is doing that makes no sense because every other college has accepted it. i feel like there is something that went wrong with just nyu…this seems like bad luck tome.

So send an email stating that you have matched all the scores on commonapp with your actual scores sent and you did not find any discrepancy. And if they have any questions or doubts you would be willing to clarify them and that NYU is really number one on your list of colleges and therefore if there is anything at all that is missing or a mismatch, and holding your application you would want to take care of it.

And then have faith.

You should never give up your dream school. Why not consider asking NYU to put you in the RD round so that you have a lot of time to solve it? May be just your name on your application is different from the name you used in the SAT test, such as two kinds of spellings.

Thanks guys! I’m going to email them the scores. Just praying for the best now… : (

So nyu emails
Me
Today and says teyfound my scores, casually. Good luck nyu hopefuls!

Welcome to the world of NYU. It doesnt stop there.
