just got a letter from Penn at 6:42 PM December 2nd.

"Dear Jordan,
Thank you for applying Early Decision to the University of Pennsylvania. We will be posting Admissions Decisions for Early Decision applicants online on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 3 p.m. EST.
Your decision can be viewed by going to:
https://www.admissions.upenn.edu/decisions/mydecision.php
Please bookmark this web address. You will not be able to log in until 3 p.m. on December 10.
The Decision website uses the same User Name and Password that you've already been using to access the MyPenn Applicant Portal.
For those who do not check their decision online, we will be mailing decision letters."

On a different thread a few people mentioned that they did not get an email. Please post whether you received an email or not.

They send that to everyone. People who haven’t received theirs yet should get it later tonight. The timing doesn’t mean anything either…that’s just the various email servers. (And yes, I received it, to answer the question).

I haven’t received an e-mail yet. Although the last time they sent an e-mail out others said they were received it and I didn’t receive it until several hours later. Like Quaker2B said, I don’t think it is an indication of anything. Good luck everyone!

I bet if we got everybody to give the first three letters of their last name and the time they received the email, we would see that they just sent out the emails out in alphabetical order (I doubt their servers can handle sending out thousands of emails at once).

That’s exciting, hopeful201! I really don’t want to get my hopes up over this, but I just thought I’d share the little excitement to give us some hope.
