UCLA77, I think you're probably right...with UCLA decisions out so soon they don't want some of the UCLA accepted kids to get all excited about going there before they hear from Berkeley....I'm sure it's a general spam email that you'll all get at some point or other over the weekend.

^Makes sense to me.

Most likely a general e-mail. You guys read too much into it. Oh how I wish it was an omen of acceptance!

My friend hasn't received it but I have. I really think that it's just in response to how UCLA has released their decision this same week and they just want to remind everyone that Cal's is still coming out.

You guys are freaking lame. I'm sorry to say it, but this is once again another one of those "general" emails...so please don't waste your time poring over whether or not it means an acceptance or a rejection...when you could be doing other stuff like going outside, studying, or even...lurking more posts on this discussion board haha

Never received that e-mail.

oh ok i got it. hopefully this means something good? can i finally go to bed feeling better (damn ucla)

Predator is right. This is a general email that everyone gets trust me. THIS MEANS NOTHING! I know some ppl with a 3.2 GPA who got it -___- cmon now... My only reasoning to why you didnt get it is cuz ur rejected cuz I didnt get this email for UCLA and i was rejected.

WHich brings me to another point. Berkeley can say whatever they want to mess with your minds such as wait for the acceptance on their emails. they can do whatever they want to do.

An example would be myself. My stats arent impressive. I got into Davis and UCSD but rejected from UCLA and over this whole time I received the seminar email from berkeley which was only for a selected few which i attended, I got 3 emails of the same letter for a leadership scholarship, and I got this new general email...... And after my stats of 4.1 GPA and 27 ACT... I know for sure I didnt get in... especially after UCLA...

This goes to show you that colleges can "lead you on" as much as they want but it wont matter.

K, now I received it. ^ ^

Everyone gets this email. There's no way I'm getting into Cal unless a miracle happens--my stats are just too low, but I got the email.

My son did not get this email but he did get into UCLA.

Got it, but I don't think it's worth much.

It's like "LOL GET EXCITED BEFORE WE REJECT YOU! YEAHHH! GO CAL!"

._.;

Haven't gotten one yet. Got into UCLA

I also haven't gotten it yet, but have been accepted to UCLA.

Maybe it goes by alphabetical order?

^Maybe. My last name begins with H and I got it a little before 6 P.M. my time (3 P.M. Pacific Standard Time) yesterday. Anyone else?

Last name is R and I got it yesterday around 6

Last name is A and I didn't get it till this morning...

My last name is A and I got it at 1 am last night.

no email. my stats are wayyyy under par though

No email. :(
Got into UCLA ... :S
