Email from UCB admissions about Mar 27 decions?

I didnt get an email and I had the supplemental questionnaire and I got into UCLA. But I want BERKELEY!!!

wait for those w/ 2.6 gpas...did you guys get these emails?

i got #3 also ... = = i got rejected from SD and LA.... what's up with that..
I want UCSD not UCB... = =

You know what, I am tired of constantly checking this thread for any chances of hope that not receiving an email doesn't mean anything. It's distracting me from my studies, and it's just not worth it (yeah, just came to realize). Plus, I'm not getting any answers; my hopes keep flip flopping because people are bringing good arguments and support for each side--that the emails mean something and that the emails are superfluous. We only have about a day left. I'll just expect the worse and see what happens.

Someone suggested this in an earlier post already, but yeah, we should come back to this thread after Thursday evening and state whether we got an email or not and if we were rejected or admitted...just so that if Berkeley screws up like this again, future applicants can refer to this for answers.

I will pray for the best for everyone. This was a fun thread, I suppose. Perhaps 10 years from now, we will log into our CC accounts and come back to this thread and laugh about it.

I would also like to hear which college everybody will decide to attend! Please come back and post your final comment onto this thread after decisions are posted!! Good luck to you all.

With best regards,
yayitsjane

One more day! Good luck everyone!

And on the usual Accept/Spring/Reject thread, be sure to include #1,2,3, or neither =)

Yeah, it would help us figure out which theory was right. :)

I doubt Berkeley would make the same 'mistake' next year though.

So Berkeley will post 5 pm pacific time?

Wait so not 12am????

5:00 pm on the 27th.

pacific time?

duh that was a dumb question.

ugh, thats so late in the day

just chillax...

lol im chill about it cause im expecting the worst- didnt get into la or sd.
buttt im happy with irvine.

good luck everyone.=]

Now don't go off-topic people. :D

Currently this thread is number 1 for posts in the UCB forum and number 2 in views. Well done, guys. :)

I hope we all get in, and then we can all laugh about whether or not the emails mean anything.

it's the 27th here ya'll.

i don't know if anybody has made this point yet or if it has been disproved, but maybe they sent it out only to people who applied to other UC's? for instance, my email didn't have that line. i also didn't apply to any other UC's. it wouldn't've really made sense for them to tell me not to reply to other UC's since i didn't even apply to any except berkeley..

sorry i'm too lazy to look through the thread and check this out. someone tell me if this a possibility?

Not 100%, but I think I remember that being disproved. Interesting point though

why can't the numbers (1,2,3) just be in reference of of consequence to different servers being used by the admin. ppl at ucb. the code could also just be for some sort of organizing purposes such as last name or date when the application was received or maybe it has something to do with what computer the email is coming from?!?!?!?
