I've received separate emails from each UC I applied to stating they received my application and giving me and ID number, except from UCLA. I'm wondering whether anyone else has gotten such an email from them or not. Do they even send them out, or do they wait until they accept students?

I received an email from UCLA on December 5th stating that they received my UC application but the email didn’t say anything regarding an ID number. Here’s what my email said:

Dear ____,

We are delighted to have received your application for Fall Quarter 2013 admission to UCLA! Over the next few months we will be busy reviewing transfer applications and will request any additional information, if necessary. We plan to release admissions decisions towards the end of April.

In the meantime, please visit our website for applicants at [Current Applicants - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/applicant). There you will find more information on the application process, including how to contact us. We will send periodic updates with information on UCLA that we hope you find interesting and helpful.

Thank you for your interest in UCLA. Go Bruins!

I got accepted last year and they don’t bother giving you an ID until you get accepted. Worry about it after you get accepted.
