<p>Is everyone sure that RD applicants get their decisions via email by 5 pm tomorrow? I mean I learned that ED applicants received emails at 5pm the day before the actual decision letters, but, how can we be so sure RD applicants will have that same luck? Did anyone get some kind of verification from the admissions office?</p>
<p>applying EA to Yale, i was never given a hint from the admissions office itself that i would hear early, but indeed i did (and all that only to get a deferral letter...). luckily, the time we find out from the CC admissions office what their decisions for us are does not affect the decision, so, no need to worry :D</p>
<p>regardless, i imagine they'll let us know a bit early... but i could be wrong. time will soon tell!</p>
<p>i think people kinda assumed that because thats the rule of the ivies... to not release anything before april 1 or late march 31... i did look at the website and htey just said that they will email AND mail before april 1. so im thinking possibly today w/ the other ivies or at the latest tomorrow.</p>
<p>they mailed --yesterday-- and the email and maybe even the package if you're lucky comes --today-- got it?</p>

<p>If you're accepted will you definitely get a big package in the mail? I haven't gotten anything yet (but then I live in Ohio) and different people have said that a lone envelope isn't automatically a sign of rejection -- not necessarily for Columbia, but colleges in general. So: does the thin envelope from Columbia definitely, without doubt, mean rejection? And acceptance, without doubt, will come in a big package thing?</p>
<p>last year the letter was actually late a couple hrs. imagine the suspense. and all that to get waitlisted.</p>
