we still have untill the 31 right, you guys make me feel like im late

at least for me
i just want to recieve a decision asap (Nov 9 ideally) but it seems like it wont happen for me :(
hope i get it on Nov 23.

supersenior your app has to be COMPLETE by the 31st...which means you need to send your app in at LEAST two weeks in advance. not to mention your recs, transcript, standardized tests, etc.

hey...so what is 3/4 or 2/4?

hey I'm facing the same problem.
it only says date, but doesn't say anything about completed or not on my wolverine access...should there be a link under the part where it says "application date"?

3/4 and 2/4 are shorthand for "the third e-mail out of the four you will receive" and "the second e-mail out of the four you will receive". I don't remember what each one is. #1 is along the lines of "thank you for applying" and #4 is "we have receive everything." But I don't remember #2 and #3.

It shows I have everything turned in under wolverine access but I never received email #4, should I give them a call?

uh oh

I think I deleted the first few emails.

the last email I recieved was one that said "Thank you for applying to the University of Michigan. Your application has been successfully received and is being processed."

and it gave me my u mich code.
is that the 1st or 2nd email?

Email 1:
"You have successfully submitted your online application to University of Michigan!

Please remember that before we are able to review your application, all of the required application materials must be submitted. Depending upon the college to which you are applying and the level at which you are applying, required materials may include official test scores, transcripts, and counselor and teacher recommendations.

You will receive one more email in approximately 15-20 business days which will contain your University of Michigan identification number ("UMID") and will give you instructions on how to check your application status online."

Email 2:
"Thank you for applying to the University of Michigan! We have received your application and have begun its processing. Be sure you have printed any required supplemental forms (such as the High School Counselor and Teacher recommendation forms for freshmen applicants who did not register recommenders on-line) and have requested that official transcripts and test scores from the testing agency be sent to our office. Your application will not be considered complete until we have received these additional materials."

Email 3:
"Thank you for applying to the University of Michigan. Your application has been successfully received and is being processed.

Your University of Michigan ID (U-M ID) number is ________. Please refer to this number in any communication you have with this university."

and then another paragraph.

i've yet to recieve 4/4

hope this helps

thank you very much!!

I got email 3 (u mich ID number)

my teacher rec didn't go thru, so I asked him to submit it electronically again (hopefully that saves time compared to letter form), so hope i get 4/4 soon!

Do u guys think I have a chance to recieve my decision by Nov 9 if I recieve 4/4 by this Friday?

actually I'm not quite sure anymore...after browsing this forum it seems as though the UMID is email 4/4, which means I never got 3/4. However, I got the first one 10/2, second 10/3, and the third 10/5 (even though the first email said it would be 15-20 business days before I got my UMID). Did I get lucky that I got 4/4 so quickly, unlucky that I never got 3/4, or did they just change their email system?

I got u mich ID but i called in and they said they were still missing teacher's rec.

so i'm sure that email, whether it's 3/4 or 4/4 doesn't mean you completed everything and they started to evaluate.

don't worry I only got the emails you mentioned earlier. I can check my WA and it says received Counselor, Transcript, Teacher, Test Scores, and Application. I'm gonna assume that's all. I have not received any emails after my student ID number.

I got those emails
but my wolverine access says nothing but the an application date.

received means it is complete. if it only lists dates, i don't think everything is in, but you should really call to be sure.
