But I'm admitted to Revelle for winter quarter so probably won't go to UCSD.

I was admitted on Saturday and I still haven't recieved the email. Is that normal?

No email here also.....

yep got in but no email too

i got in with no e-mail.

no e-mail but got in online

This is the text of the email from UCSD. Clearly this is for Bay Area folks -- and there will be receptions in other geographic regions.

When I don't receive an email from an institution I always think that my ISP's spam catcher is the reason.

Dear New UCSD Student,

I havent gotten an email yet...and im doubting a fun reception thingy....i am doubting that anyone else from colorado was even accepted....but we'll see!

I got the email...its basicaly a two hour event in downtown los angeles..plus there's freshmen admit day. whats the big difference?

I imagine the reception is for people who can't make it all the way to San Diego for Admit Day. Unlike Berkeley and UCLA (I know, there are exceptions), the other UC campuses are competing for the top students and this is what they do.

Is anyone else who got accepted having trouble opening the PDF documents on the the second page once you log in. I can't open any of them in any of my browsers (firefox, ie, aol, yahoo). If anyone has any solutions, those would be great...
