Email problems?? (portfolio)

<p>I've tried to email my portfolio to Rice over the past 2 days but every time I send it Hotmail hits me back with one of those 'delivery failure' notices that goes:</p>

be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.</p>

<p>For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.</p>

<p>I sent an email to the admissions office itself and got the same delivery failure message. The deadline is today! What should I do?? Well it's technically yesterday cause its 12:09am now...
I thought the problem might clear up overnight because they could still be on Winter Break but the same thing happened each time I tried to send it this morning, afternoon and evening!</p>

<p>Is anybody else having the same email problems??</p>

<p>Not to be rude, but you sure you are sending it to the right address?
Maybe try a different email account?</p>

<p>yea i cross referenced the email address every time before i hit ‘send’ so that can’t be it. plus i emailed the general admissions office (which is at a different address) and i got the same response. so i thought maybe they’re closed? but they can’t be! its deadline day and if you’re closed your email should still be open! gahhh :(</p>

<p>i thought it might be hotmail’s problem but i’ve been emailing other people all night and that hasn’t been a problem either…</p>

<p>hey! the exact same thing happened to me! it’s not just hotmail; i use gmail. i tried emailing several times with and without the powerpoint to both email addresses, and nothing worked. and now the deadline passed and i’m freaking out! please please please let me know if anyone has found a solution!</p>

<p>Print out the “delivery failure” page. Call admissions of Monday and let them know what happened. I’m sure they will be fine with accepting your portfolio “late”. (It’s the weekend and not likely that anyone is working today!) They are nice folks.</p>

<p>Also, I would try with different accounts from say, Yahoo. Can’t be sure though.</p>

<p>@puddles: So what are you going to do?? I’m so worried that I’ll call them on Monday and they’ll be like “The deadline was Friday, sorry. -hangs up-” </p>

<p>@anxiousmom: Yea that’s what I was going to do but Monday is a looongg way’s away from Friday. I guess there’s nothing I can do considering it’s the weekend…</p>

<p>@acolombianp28: puddles has used Gmail and I have used Hotmail. I’ve also sent other emails from my Hotmail account so I highly doubt it’s our email clients. Thanks anyway for trying to help out though :slight_smile: Plus I don’t have any other accounts besides Hotmail and Gmail, lol.</p>

<p>Same thing happened to me. They might have stopped the email system while they were on break because they didn’t want to get too piled up. Just send it Monday. If you have the rest of your app in, they won’t mind.</p>
