I have a research paper that I would like to email Caltech, but I'm not sure what format to use, etc. Do they just need my name? I don't know what to say in the email.

Hey,

The common app supplement says to email papers to papers@admissions.caltech.edu in PDF format. You should probably include your Common App ID number, name, and high school (just to be safe).

However, I just sent my papers, and it bounced.

HELP?!

The same thing just happened to me. Great.

Same issue here as well.

same here…did anyone email caltech yet?

Sent an email to ugadmissions@caltech address, no response yet, but then it is only 7 AM in Pasadena right now.

Got an email from Caltech indicating that their mailbox was full due to the volume of submissions over the holiday weekend and that their staff is working to process the submissions ASAP. Hopefully this problem should clear up later this afternoon.

It does not work yet.

dude! I got the same reply from them:

Thank you for your email. Due to the holiday break, the email address papers@admissions.caltech is currently full. We are currently processing submissions to clear out the inbox. Please email your submission again to the papers@admissions.caltech.edu address later this afternoon or tomorrow.

I just tried it but they still have not cleared their mailbox. fish man…I am tensed…

It works now!

I sent ugadmissions@caltech.edu an email stating the error, and included my attachments. They said their papers@admissions.caltech.edu was full, but said they would add my attachments in my email to ugadmissions to my application. Basically: if papers@admissions.caltech.edu bounces, send it to the undergraduate admissions email and state the error, and you should be okay.

Phew!
