Thank you for your Early Decision application to Columbia University. We are nearing the end of our application review and will soon notify candidates of our decisions.

We are also mailing decisions, so you will receive a decision letter by mail as well.

If you applied online, to view your decision you will need both the PIN and password you created when you submitted your application. Your PIN appears at the top of this e-mail. If you have lost or forgotten your password, click here to receive your password via e-mail.

If you submitted a paper application, a PIN created for you appears at the top of this e-mail. To receive your password, please click on the "search" button here. You will then be able to use this PIN and password to check your decision online.

i just saw the e-mail subject on my blackberry and turned it off straight away. i was totally unprepared and thought it was the decision e-mail!

Yea for a moment I thought it was also the decision email. But then I remembered that the subject would be different. And then I freaked b/c I thought it was to notify me that I had something missing.

What a way to get us worked up.

They should've not posted anything yesterday about the decision release date and sent the email tonight. All of us would've freaked out thinking it was the decision :D

hahaha i also thought it was the decision email and nearly had a heart attack. i had no idea what it was lol! but yeah what do you guys think they're going to do, just post it on the main page after you sign in? in either big green letters or big red letters? ughhhh makes me nervous.

When I saw the title for this thread, I gasped like never before and my mom dropped the plates she was washing. Then I saw the message.
My palms are still sweating. I'm going to be such a mess next Tuesday...

I don't think they'll be emailing us this year. We have to go to the website that they provided in the email. That's why they sent us our pin numbers.
