Thanks, ducktape!

This is standard procedure. Relax everyone. :)

It's definitely not in alphabetical order. My surname starts with "w".

not necessarily. I think it depends on your admission officer o.o 'cause my last name starts with an "y" lol

I think they purposefully sent them out randomly because they knew tons of kids would pool together to over-analyze it.

^^^ Make sense. This year, without ED and Likely Letters, the Princeton board lacks the excitements that other Ivies board have (every Ivy sent academic likely letters except HP). This e-mail is trying to make up the missing excitement.

harvard sent out 10 non-athletic likely letters this year. see article:

i agree, princeton is being a bit ... hmm... dull... but that doesnt make me less nervous about the decision.

received mine on the 19th
florida, last name "d", applied late december

^^ Tongchen, Sorry that I missed it. This makes it more true that they need to create some kind excitement. LOL.

i got it on 18th, last name A, california, commonapp,dec21st

i hope this is a good signnnn!!!(:

but i highly doubt it :P

Still haven't got an email...
i'm an international applicant lol

I doubt that the e-mail will have any influence on the decision......though I wish it did because I got one =]

ahh...i'm getting hopeless...they are not sending me any email...am i just forgotten or something?

i think the theory that if you already registered with online tracking, you didn't get one is the best idea here.

haha that makes me feel worse...i didn't register until today...

I did register to track my application in February, and I also got the email on the 18th.

Mywayalie, I think the best solution now is to contact Princeton and ask them how and when you can find out your decision. As the same time, they probably will ask you whether or not you got the email, and as such, you will also know why you haven't got one.

registered in mid-january and still got the e-mail

email received today, last name "P", Ohio

maybe admitteds received emails 1st, denied in later batch?

I have a quick question... if we get the decision online, does that mean we don't get a mailed letter for it? What about for the other ivies?
