In an email which was sent to 2 of my top choice schools, I said that I would definitely attend if admitted. Will this be considered as binding? Would I be in trouble if I am admitted and I don’t attend?

No. Don’t worry. That said, you should probably say that to only one school at a time. If you are declined, then you can say it to another.

Yes, I know it was a very stupid thing to do. It’s just that I didn’t give it much thought that time. I would definitely go to the school if admitted, but didn’t consider the scenario of being accepted at both. Anyways, as long as they don’t rescind my admission (if it comes) or I don’t get into some trouble, it’s okay now.
