Email with Admissions Office etiquette question

I sent an email to a school I'm applying to asking if they received all my materials and a question about a scholarship. They answered me, and I was wondering if I should send them an email thanking them for their response, or if they would probably rather their inbox not be cluttered. It's a pretty small school.

If it’s a small school and they aren’t completely overwhelmed with emails, I’m sure they would appreciate a small expression of gratitude. I would say go ahead and thank them!

Agreed. A quick thank you is nice and will take what, ten seconds to read?

Thanks! I tend to overthink these things.

No problem! I tend to do the same thing.
