"UNIVERSITY HONORS & SCHOLARS CENTER

Dear xxxxx,

Have you considered applying to be an Eminence Fellow at The Ohio State University? Eminence Fellows are a select group of undergraduate Honors students who embark on a unique, four-year journey of academic rigor, service, and leadership. The program provides extraordinary opportunities and support for students who are ambitious and have high expectations for themselves. Recipients of a 4-year full-cost-of-attendance award, Eminence Fellows demonstrate academic achievement, intellectual curiosity, high regard for humanity, and significant involvement both on and off campus.

Question : Is this a sign that our application is moving in the positive direction? Or is this a standard mail they send out to everyone meeting certain GPA/SAT or ACT requirements? Our stats aren’t that stellar so not sure what to make of this email. Thanks.

Applied - 10/26/19
SAT - 1490
ACT - 32
GPA - 3.9 W/4.22 UW
Hardly any APs; In IB program; some ECs
OOS
Applied to - Arts & Sciences

Generic email.

Thanks @itsgettingreal17 . That’s what I thought but wanted to confirm.

I also got this email. I’m debating what I want to do about it. Pros/cons?

I got it as well…they only give 25…not sure i’ll have a shot at it, but likely good sign for acceptance

That’s what I initially thought. But when @itsgettingreal17 said it’s a generic mail, I assumed everyone who applied tOSU got this email.

I think it’s just everyone who applied EA to the honors program

My S20 applied EA to honors program, but did not get email. He is in-state, though. Stats are a tad higher than OP’s, and applied to COE.
