email Yale? and other colleges too...

<p>So i recently submitted my common app (finally!), and I was wondering if I should email Yale and my other schools to let them know of some minor academic awards I've received. </p>

<p>I've been on the school's honor roll and have received an academic letter. I didn't think it was really important to include in my application because almost everyone applying to Yale and other similar schools have received the same. But I recently found out that one of my classmates put down 'academic letter' as one of her awards. </p>

<p>So basically I'm wondering whether its worth it to email my colleges and tell them about these academic awards...</p>
