I got the same e-mail today, but I already got an invitation to Sunday at the Square. Dunno what it would mean for people who haven't heard anything yet.

did anyone receive an e-mail, before this long one, from an admissions counselor at NYU? I received one from the assistant director on monday regarding sunday in the square...

I got the email also, and since I wanted to know more I responded. I asked some random questions, and then eventually got to the real matter. I asked the Admit. off. was i in since I recieved this email. She pretty much said yes. her exact words were, "The University and the Department of Politics are impressed with your achievements and therefore we would like to make every effort to keep you interested in NYU...." The way she wrote it made me feel like she wanted to tell me, but cannot.

Dear ,
I don't mean to pry, but does having NYU admissions office email
me mean that I am admitted, even though the letters aren't mailed
until April 1st?

Response:
Dear,
The University and the Department of Politics are impressed with your achievements and therefore we would like to make every effort to keep you interested in NYU. So if you have any questions, or doubts, that you would like to ask or discuss, feel free to email me at any time. I'll do my very best to answer your queries.

Now that I read it, it doesn't sound like anything special, but whatever.

hmm that sounds promising, i think. it'd be terrible for them to say that they are impressed with your achievements and want to keep you interested in NYU if they're gonna reject you in a week, right?
