Email

i am liking the fact that it is from the particular department of everyone's major, rather than all from the same place. (even if it is copied and pasted)

Ya, i think that depending on what your major was, than the letter comes from different people

lol its kind of lame though. Hey, lets copy and paste this email and then say its from someone different. Mine for instance:

Dear Ryan,

I have been informed by our admissions office that you have expressed an interest in the College of Arts and Science (CAS) at New York University. I want to thank you for your interest, and provide you with contact information should you have any questions about our courses or programs.

If you haven't done so already, I urge you to visit the CAS website at www.nyu.edu/cas and to be sure to click on the "Academic Programs" link to learn more about our department. We take great pride in the balance of academic rigor and the quality of student life at New York University. I particularly want to call your attention to the possibilities for undergraduate research and to our faculty mentorship programs as opportunities that distinguish NYU's College of Arts and Science.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can answer any questions about our requirements and our majors and special programs. Alternatively, if you prefer to be contacted by telephone please provide your contact information and the best time for us to reach you. For any admissions questions please visit the website at admissions.nyu.edu or call (212) 998-4500 and ask to speak to a member of the CAS admissions team. The financial aid office can be reached at (212) 998-4444 or via their website at www.nyu.edu/financial.aid.

Once again, I'd like thank you for your interest in our department and urge you to consider both the academic strengths and the strong faculty connection that we have with our students as you decide which school you will attend next September.

Sincerely,

do you think me applying as undecided is the reason for not receiving this email?

i got the same email, but from the department of econ.

like omgitsjack, i have gotten an invite to the reception, a letter for scholarships, and now this email from the field of study i am pursuing. i think we are in!

not to step on your sandcastle of hope iwannatopcollege but if you check the other thread i know i read that someone who applied undecided got the email.

LoL you guys realize it's all from the same email address.

admissions@nyu.edu

jjjjj (5 right?) - i got the same three things as well. i am thinking we are in. Or else this would be a cruel, cruel joke.

Well that's a different one than the response to the CAS Reception RSVP:

reservations@nyuadmit.nyu.edu

I also received those three things... So, yeah, I think we're in...

i just got the "keep you interested in NYU" mail from the director of econs. not the other two. got it 4 hours ago.

it's this sentence that bothers me:

almost a hint to me.

MusicSaves137

it has to be. if not, there will be hell to pay from me. i know we are in now. this solidifies it (the email)

dont worry about the j's, next time.lol

yea i am pretty convinced right now

If they don't take us, then... there's something very wrong. I mean, why send all of this to us if they aren't going to take us?

Oh man, this gets me really worried. I am applied to CAS Journalism, and I haven't gotten anything - no reception, no saturday at the square, no e-mail. I thought my 2210 SATs and 92UW GPA were ok for NYU. Whats going on?

did you make sure they got everything?

I didn't get one :( This is making me extremely nervous. fackk...

Hmm, I got an email and a Sunday At the Square invite... but I didn't really think much into the email.
However, I also received it from the Department of Chemistry, even though I don't think that was my intended major.

What's the scholarship mail everyone's talking about? Have they already notified merit scholarship awardees through mail/e-mail?

did anyone apply to Steinhardt and got an email similar to this? or is this just for CAS?
