When transfer students get to use their email?

yea and when are freshmen given the ucsd email? or is it after orientation?

i saw a lot of incoming freshmen joined the UCSD network in facebook already...apparently they got their UCSD e-mail address...
the website doesn't let me to have one yet :[

On the page when you see your admission - on the top right corner search for yourself (your name), and if you're on it, it should list your ucsd email.

After you find your email go to https://www-no.ucsd.edu/secure-bin/emailsvc/login.pl

and you can set it to forward your ucsd mail to another email

i found my email , but i cant change my password. it says it cant find my PID

yeah, same here. it says i have an email, but the ACS Email Information Lookup page says it cant find me.

Where exactly do we go to get our own email?

mylifeisover23,

i did exactly what you told me to...except when i search for my name, TWO names come up. So I checked one of them, and it lists my address. Then I checked the other one, and it doesn't have an address...But they are both exactly my name....So which one do i choose????? please help.

Agh, what's the password supposed to be? I tried PID and it didn't work.

Just try to log in with that email address to the link i posted with your triton link pw. If you are able to log in, you can forward your ucsd email to another email (such as hotmail or gmail etc..)

Dyingbreed - the one without an address is probably yours (the other one another person maybe?), but they just haven't given you an address yet, maybe check back later

Chanx the pw was just my PID pw

Agh my tritonlink PW doesn't work :(

thanks mylifeisover (ok that's weird...)! I successfully login to that webpage and forward the e-mail to my e-mail account...now I just need to wait until the facebook confirmation e-mail arrives =]

pacman, for me it took a couple days before ucsd actually started forwarding the emails so you may want to try to resend the confirmation like once a day or so.

wait, the one WITHOUT my home address is my email???? I am confused..

You need to meet this person.

Is your name kinda common? If so, the other names listed would just be another person from the school who already has an email, leaving the name that doesn't have an email yours (because they haven't gotten around to it / or there system isn't updated etc).

That's what i'm guessing..

So ... how am I supposed to access it? I find myself through the student search, but the ACS Email Information Lookup says I'm not in the system. Is it supposed to take this long for them to fix it or make it available?

The instructions I gave are only to show you how to find your email and to forward your ucsd mail to another email such as a yahoo account etc. (so you can join the facebook network)

You, well at least i can't, access the actual UCSD email yet.

yes i am in the same situation. the ACS Email Information says i am not in the system.....even tho i got the orientation notice....so am i just supposed to wait?

i must suck at explaining or something @@@@_________@@@@@
