<p>There's a link above the acceptance letter when you log into applicant services. It says "create e-mail" or something (can't remember)</p>
<p>do you have to send in a deposit for your email to work? because i found the site to make your email address and i filled in all the info but it said "Your netid does not have an activation code assigned. If you already have a valid NetID password, but were unable to activate your student mail account..."</p>
<p>i didn't send in a deposit yet and i got my email working. its a sweet set-up, same as gmail for people who have that (its run by google)</p>
<p>Yeah, I have mine set up also and have not sent in a deposit.</p>
<p>Are the Activation PIN and Activation codes the same thing? Also does your activation pin have a . in it ?</p>
<p>Hey, I just read this on the Medill website: "• Once your deposit is received and processed, information regarding your NetID and temporary password (which will allow you to set up your Northwestern email account) will be mailed to you by post. It is very important to activate your account as this will become the preferred means of communication leading up to your arrival on campus. "
