I got an email from W&M last week saying they are reviewing my in-state privileges and need some documents from my parents. Is that any sign?!?!

I copy and pasted this from another thread regarding financial aid inquiries. W&M Admissions said this:

“Financial aid works without knowing any admission decisions so they send out requests for additional information based on specified federal government standards. Those requests can go out to students who are eventually admitted, denied, or waitlisted. Admission does not consider financial info in making decisions and Financial Aid does not receive advance notice of admission decisions.”

I received the same, I wish it was because they are at least considering us, but I doubt it. But then again, why would they waste they’re time reviewing financial aid right now if we are not even admitted? Just what I think.

Confirmation of in-state status is completed by an office outside of Admission and is completed for every applicant regardless of his/her admission status. Be sure to follow up with any inquiry so you can receive your decision letter in a timely manner but being contacted by another office does not mean one decision or the other is more likely.
