!! Emailing admissions officer about negative trend in grades

Wondering if it is worth it to email an admissions officer just addressing a B i got senior year, since I have gotten straight As throughout high school. I might be just being totally paranoid and might even sound like a snob- totally don’t mean to come across that way! Just want to show them that I am super conscious of my grades and care about my grades and what the school thinks of me. Wasn’t going to give any excuses, just simply address it and say that I worked hard but couldn’t retain the A. thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

(This is for BU, where positive trend in grades is the #1 thing they look for. it is also my #1 choice and I have previously been in touch with the admissions officer)

Don’t do it. It has a 0% chance of helping.

Oh hell to the no

A negative trend would be all Cs or a single D. One B does not come close to qualifying.

No. Why would you think that your one “B” grade was so important to them that they’d want you to email them to alert them to it. That alone would be a red flag if I were the counselor you contacted.

I needed to hear this! thank you!

Ok, good to hear other peoples views on it outside of my own anxieties- thank you!

Thank you!
