Emailing and signing forms

2 questions:

-Duke says I can email them my family's tax returns if they are in pdf format. If I choose to send them this way, do they need to be "signed"? I don't even know how I would go about doing that.

-Where exactly do my parents sign the W2 form?

Did the college ask for someone to sign their W-2 forms? Usually they ask for signed TAX returns…not W-2 forms.

To sign the tax return, look at the bottom of your parents’ tax return. I believe it’s the bottom of the second page. There is a place that says “signature”…have them sign it there with a pen and date it the date on which they FILED their return. Then scan the document and save as a PDF. Send that off to the college(s).

I sure hope your parents printed out a copy of their tax return when they filed it. If not, I believe they can go back into the tax prep software and do so.
