Emailing Professors for ED applicants?

Im currently working on my ED app for Cornell, and one thing i wanted to do was to email several professors. Since im applying to the College of Human Ecology, which doesnt have many applicants, plus im a NYS resident, plus im applying Early Decision which much further narrows it down, and plus im a male, so i think im pretty unique. Im applying to the 'Biology and Society' major and i found a site with a course listing and professors emails for those courses.

What can i say in an email to several professors that will make them remember me, and how do i show them that i really want to go to cornell and go to that major so that they can refer me to the adcoms, and you know, make me stand out and be remembered or referred?

you are not unique for being an ED, NY, Male for CHE...

I really doubt the professor will refer you to the adcom. unless you're doing groundbreaking journal-worthy research, they're probably not going to notice you. I advise working on your app essays and studying for classes rather than emailing professors not out of interest in their fields, but rather in an attempt to boost your admission chance. A professor referral probably wouldn't even help that much unless you had said ground-breaking research.

wat if i do neuroscience research currently in a laboratory (i actually do), and i emailed a neuroscience prof saying i would really be interested in working with him/her?
