emails from colleges

<p>so i checked the box on the PSAT and now i've been getting tons of emails, but some have .org email adresses. are these legit or not, they all say they got my info from the college board at the bottom. Just want to make sure they're legit so I know wheter or not to provide more info if i'm interested in the college. </p>

<p>Colombuia University, NYU,Emory, Lewis and Clark,Xavier, Washington and Lee,Duke all had .org email adresses. </p>

<p>Others like Rice, Kenyon, Rutgers, St. Louis ,Colgate, Wesleyan University were .edu.</p>

<p>It really all depends. Some colleges create seperate websites for prospective students that are basically independent from the .edu website. If you are a bit sketched out, just go to the official website (.edu) and fill out their request for more information. It will accomplish the same thing, and you will always be sure its legit.</p>
