Anyone ever receive an email from a random university? I got one from Carroll University. The email said:

Even though you are a sophomore in high school it is never to eary to start receiving information about one of the most popular schools in the Midwest. Find out why Carroll University has become such an attractive place for students to study.

If you want to learn more about why we have become so popular CLICK HERE and fill out the request for information form.

I'm kinda creeped out on how they got my email address, location, and age...
Since I'm a sophomore I haven't given this information to any schools. This happen to anyone else?

Have you taken the PSAT, SAT, SAT II, AP Exams or standardized tests of any kind? That’s how they got your info. Its not creepy, its just a little annoying after a while. You can probably unsubscribe from their mailing list.

Eh, they have ways of knowing who students are. Sometimes they mess up, though, and Cornell College of Human Ecology inundates a senior with college transfer guides…

What does the “rr” in the beginning of your username mean? After that, I see the obvious reference to Chris McCandless.

Even when college app season is over during your senior year… They keep coming. “Special extensions” and “X more days to finish your incomplete application” for schools you’ve never even expressed interest in. And then the ones that just completely ignore deadlines and still just send you stuff. Though it’s died down a bit.

You know, you could have checked. Incidentally, it isn’t taken.

Hahah wow. My friend and got a good laugh from the guys last name though. “Wiseman”. Lol, I’m probably just really immature, but that made my day. xD

Yeah, you’re right. Hahah it’s not a big deal. Anyways, I like my name being there. :D
