embry riddle & fit

I want to decide between these two.
I have seen many negative reviews about embry in www.**************.com
i am planning for aerospace engineering.
Also which of the embry campuses are better prescott or daytona?

Hi,

I actually went to Embry in Daytona Beach… I cant deny by saying that the school was awsome, and you have the beach within 5 min drive. I transferred from a Virginia college therefore loved the weather. As far as classes went, I loved the fact that the classrooms were not too full, and you get maybe more attention from the professors than you would if you attended 100 student class.
Well, I followed the aerospace engineering program for 1 1/2 years, the classes are very math oriented and honestly thought they were hard … well it is aerospace after all.
Then I saw the fact that I had no financial aid and came close to 70K in student loans, and that is when I realized it was a lot of money, specially when you think about paying it back at the end of your career. Aerospace is not doing really well at the moment, but I have still sticked to it cause i love it. Well, I did then my admissions process for University of Virginia and to my surprise they almost payed my whole tuition… YES almost a FULL SCHOLARSHIP. I could not believe it. My classes now are much bigger, and while Embry-R… says it is the best aeronautical school, I found classes much more challenging at University of Virginia (UVA). UVA is after all whithin the top ranked schools in the country, therefore I think that what you pay at Riddle is only for the name. There is many Aerospace companies that know the school, but I am pretty sure you can find another good school which name is really great too and it is not as expensive.
Riddle is also a ROTC school, meaning there is a lot of military people there.
Also if you go, you will hear that guys complain about the RATIO, well there is about 65% guys and 35% girls (well that is when i left, about 1 year ago), so guys hate it…lol

That was my experience with Riddle, I would also have to add that at UVA I will major in AE (Aerospace Engineering) and I am minoring in Mechanical Engineering, which is always good for job placement. Riddle does not let you minor in mech eng. you will have to double major and spend more money taking classes to get both degrees.

Hope it helps :)

Thanks also does anyone have any idea about florida institute of technology?
