EMERGENCY: application problem [immediate attention required]

In fall, i have agreed to the early decision terms in my uva application, however I didn't submit early decision. Now, when I click "submit application" it says "The early decision deadline (05-Nov-06) has passed." and it won't let me submit my application. I am in desperate situation and I would appreciate any help i could get.

did you submit application forgetting to uncheck early decision, and then it wouldn't let you re-submit after you corrected the mistake?

may be a technical error. make sure you call on the first available date the admissions office is open (prob Tues./ same day the application is due i believe) and explain your situation. They will probably give you instructions.

another option may be to create another account (idk). even so, make sure you contact the admissions office.

the thing is i didn't submit anything. I just let the deadline for early decision pass and didn't change anything on application
I don't know what's going on

Did you try calling the admissions office first?

try unchecking the box and hitting submit again...if it doesnt work, call tuesday ASAP, theyll help you

they are closed and there is no option to uncheck the box.

create another account with a new email address. submit, and then write a letter or email to explain your situation afterwards. i think under special circumstances like yours, they'll understand

thank you very much your replies.
I have made a new account, input all the info again, then submited the app.
HOwever, this account does not have my transcript. It's entered into my old one. Do I need to send another one? If I do, I believe it's to be postmarked by January 2nd. The post office closes on Tuesday for the memory of President Ford. I don't think I can send it through Fedex or UPS because the Uva's mail address is P.O. Box.
I live about 4 hours away from the college, should I literally drive to Uva from my house to deliver the transcript?
Please let me know.

Driving out to the campus might not actually be a bad idea....because the post offices are closed.....but your stuff just has to be postmarked by that date though. I would call them first though and tell them everything that happened.

transcripts are submitted under a name, so as long as the transcript ends up in the same file as everything else, it should be fine. i dont know about driving there, b/c Peabody Hall may be closed. DO CALL ASAP to make sure they know why you created a new account and to make sure that the transcript makes it to your file

Dont worry. UVA says it will accept transcripts / loc's up to january 10th (if i read correctly. Read around but ia m 90% sure this is true).

From what I've heard and seen...UVA admissions officers are human and understand humans so they're pretty reasonable :)

Try giving em' a call Tuesday.

Best of luck!

thank you all for your concern.
I will find a way.

call, im sure everything will work out =) they most likely will have your transcripts on final, and as long as your name matches, you're fine...just let them know

Email us your name and the username for the two accounts. We'll delete the old one and move the credentials over to the new account.
