So I've gotten into Upenn Wharton through early decision. The second I read my online notice, I closed the browser and didn't see that there was a online reply button where I had to affirm that I was truly going to Upenn. I thought that since it was binding, there was no need for me to do anything further but wait for something in the mail. I just found out today that I was supposed to affirm my going by january 8th and that the 400 dollar deposit I was waiting for wouldn't come until I do so. So I affirmed my going today, (about 2 months late), and the page that showed up for my friend who did it on time showed up for me after i clicked send. I'm hoping that the January 8th deadline was just a please do it by this time thing and nothing binding. I'm calling tomorrow to find out if it's a bid deal but does anybody know anything about this now to calm me?

Sorry, I can’t be a help in this matter. Good luck with it though, it probably isn’t that big of a deal. But just wondering, didn’t you receive a letter in the mail back in December that instructed you how to affirm your Penn decision online and on how to send your deposit?

hey tonys. it is completely fine. trust me. they still havent got my deposit (again 2 mths late) and when i told my regional rep that i sent it and i hope it wont affect my seat at penn, she said ‘many people are facing similar problems with their deposits, postal mails and overall replies’ and therefore the seat is fixed irrespective of the online switch im sure. to be on the safe side, send a mail/call ur regional rep instead of just penn. she will be of greater help.
