my question is, does dartmouth accept SAT scores taken in november if the applicant is applying ED? i mean if i send the score before the end of november, will that be okay? thanks! or will that be a disadvantage to me b/c the admissions officers might think, "oh she probably doesn't care enough"...

Your best bet would be to contact admissions directly to get the answer.

You will not need the SAT IIs until January.

You have to remember that there will be some time between the November test and the time the college board mails out, the time the college receives the scores and sends them to the admission office and the time that decisions are made.

Thanksgiving is in the last week in november. Even if they get it on the 25th (Tuesday, they may end up not doing anything with your application until monday, december 1). Mail will also start to get heavy as people start planning for chiristmas.

Just something to think about.

My son, a Class 2010, was accepted with his only sittings for SAT 2 in October and SAT 1 in November. I remembered at that time the deadline for Standard Tests were explicitly stated in the Admission related publications and website. Could you check the information again to confirm?

"You will not need the SAT IIs until January."

^what do u mean?

if you are accepted ED, you have until the January exam to submit your SAT II scores.

r u sure about that? is it the same for all other colleges?

Does that mean SAT IIs are not used for evaluation purposes or if you don't make a certain threshold, they are going to turn around and reject you if they had already accepted you?

from theri website:

You may apply for Early Decision even if you have not yet taken two SAT II: Subject Tests. You must, however, take two SAT II's no later than January of your senior year. These test results will be used in further evaluating the applications of deferred Early Decision applicants and for academic placement of accepted candidates.
