Common Application website says

"If you select Early Decision (ED) for an institution, you may not apply ED or Restricted Early Action (REA) to any other institution. You may, however, apply to other institutions as a Regular Decision applicant."

Does that means I can apply to UVA(ED) and other EA(non-restricted)?
In other word, can I apply ""ED"" and ""EA(non-restricted)""and ""Regular"" at the same time?

Yes, but if you get accepted in your ED school, you will be expected to nitify all the other schools and withdraw your application.

I think the reason they let you apply to other schools after you have applied for ED has to do with timing. The ED decisions come out very close to some of the RD deadlines.

uva does not have ED

Okay, from the UVA Admissions website: "*Please note that effective Fall 2007 the University of Virginia not longer has an early admission/early decision program. All first-year applicants must apply by the January 2nd deadline."

So, no more ED for UVA.
