I’m confused about the application process for Emerging Scholars. On the FAQ page, it says that the application process is just “email Dr. Ann Webb informing of her of your desire to participate in the program.” BUT I’m confused because there is also a link on the side of the page that brings you to an “Emerging Scholars Application”. There are questions on the application I don’t know the answer to, like “how many credit hours will you be taking?” and “Are you applying for a position currently listed as available on this site?”
So, I don’t know if I should email this faculty member, or just do my best to fill out the application, or both, or neither.
Anyone know what to do?
This is the page, by the way : [About the Program | Emerging Scholars Program - The University of Alabama](http://emergingscholars.ua.edu/about-the-program/)

I would fill out the application form indicating that you are an incoming freshman, then followup with an email. Then I would call. Hit all the bases!

I agree with Robotbldmom…do everything.

I think the confusion is that the program was once headed by Dr. Sharpe and now Dr. Webb is in charge, so there may be a change in procedure, but the web page doesn’t yet reflect that.

Submit the app and email Dr. Webb (and mention to Dr. Webb the confusion about the web page. )
