<p>I think it’s best to call up one of their admissions counselors, who are very, very helpful, and run all of this by them. My DD was admitted EA to animation (with Dean’s Scholarship and another merit award), did not have a required portfolio, and did not elect to submit one. She easily could have since all other film schools required one. She felt she should have been required to submit one and remains concerned that Emerson’s non-requirement might be some indication of the importance (or lack thereof) that it places on her chosen major.</p>
