I will post my stats:
Major: Marketing Communications
Current College: Fitchburg State University
College GPA: 3.87
High School GPA: 3.9
College ECs: Honors Program, Phi Sigma Sigma Vice President, design internship with nonprofit local organization.
Highschool ECs: various clubs but only mentioning Junior Volunteer job at Maine Medical Center.
Also applying to Boston University and Northeastern University! I am hoping I qualify for the Gateway Scholarship. 
My S is applying as a transfer for fall 2017. Currently at a Community College, finishing his second year of his Associate Degree in General Education, his stats that I don’t know well are:
Major: Screenwriting for film and TV
College GPA: 3.75
HS GPA: 3.6
ECs: Animation 2D and 3D at Lesley University, currently his 3rd and last semester for professional certificate in screenwriting at Emerson College, one summer class at BU for Film Production. 2 jobs: one not regular at a carwash, one regular as manager in an ice cream shop.
ECs during HS: 5 years as a Hip Hop Dancer when in middle and HS.
Also applying to Boston University, Brandeis for film, but applying to Suffolk and Umass Boston for Criminal Justice. Already accepted there with almost full ride for Suffolk. He Wanted to apply to Northeastern, but did not find the time ! Emerson is his top choice.
Applied for transfer in late December for Fall 2017. Currently at Loyola Marymount University, finishing my second semester of my first year. (Undeclared at LMU but applied for Marketing Comm at Emerson)
College GPA: 4.0 (Dean’s List as well)
HS GPA: 3.5
College ECs: work study job at LMU Alumni Relations (10+ hours/week), active member of LMU Hillel
HS ECs: dance company member for 7 years, member of Temple youth group executive board, lead 4 community service trips with Temple, worked as camp counselor for 4 summers, assistant teacher at Temple religious school, played violin for 15 years (still playing)
Already admitted to Ithaca, Temple, and College of Charleston. Waiting to hear back from Emerson and Northeastern.
Received an email from Emerson Admissions saying as a “priority applicant” (?) I should hear back in mid-April.
Wouha ! That means you sent everythig early. We still need to send mid term report and css profile corrected. We’l do this at the end of this week. But I am not sure if “priority applicant” means exactly that. So 3 more weeks at least !
Not that I’ve been accepted or anything yet, but how are you guys tackling housing? I know Emerson doesn’t have housing for transfer students so if I decide to go it’s going to be tricky finding a roommate/apartment quickly.
I would say, don’t worry. As soon as you’ll receive the good news, I am sure there will be an acceptance day where you’ll meet plenty of people to guide you. There will be an invitation to access to their FB page… etc. All juniors and seniors are kicked out of the dorms, because of renovation. So Emerson has only room for 1st and second years students. I heard that, last year, some students have found their apartment only over the summer, and you’ll have an answer and decesion to make in April of May. You should be ok.

@milklore I don’t know for you, but for us, it won’t be today. My S received an email asking for more FA info: tax transcript, non custodial statement, W2s. We had to ask the transcript by mail so it won’t arrive before Friday or next week. So, we won’t have any answer from Emerson before mid April. 
I just got accepted to media arts writing for film and television!!! Emerson is my first choice but I’m not sure yet if I’ll be able to afford it.

Just got the email like 45 minutes ago! I bet you’ll hear back soon because I applied literally on the deadline and submitted a portfolio for review. Unfortunately it did not include information about financial aid which will be the deciding factor

I applied so long ago but only recently mailed in my mid-term report. I didn’t think that would delay the decision though!! What about you guys?
@manicpixie Congrats for your acceptance ! My S applied in the same program ! He sent his non-custodial statement this morning, I hope !!! So after that, we should be all set with the FA documention. I think he will hear from them next week. But we are dying here !! Emerson is his 1st choice. Every move we made was because of us visiting Emerson and meeting with the person in charge of transfers. My S registered in a community college in Bedford, the person said that they did not have the agreement with them regarding the special scholarship: Next Step Emerson. They had it with Bunker Hill. So we canceled the application to Bedford Community College and my S registered at the last minute, the last day at BHCC. Each class he took was in tune with the list of Gen Ed the person advised him to take. My S could have applied to one school only if it have not been too risky !!! Crossing my fingers for all of us !
@milklore I mailed my mid-year report recently as well, although I would be transferring in as a junior, so maybe it doesn’t matter as much? Idk. It might have been a little bit faster for me because I applied as a senior in highschool.
@catlalib that’s really smart! My community college has an agreement like that with University of Rochester (which was a reach for me) and I just got accepted today! so I think it definitely helps.

Congrats @ srg999. Let us know when your here from FA. What are the other schools you applied to ? Did Emerson answer first ? I hope we wil here from them this week.
Just called today to see if they had my midterm report which I sent in after the deadline. They said they received it on the sixth so I should expect to hear back beginning of May!! Hoping to hear back much sooner though…
