I know that it might seem strange to compare these two schools, considering one is in the heart of Boston and the other is suburban Pennsylvania. But honestly these two school are the ones I am deciding between, I really could see myself in both locations so that really isn’t a factor for me. Money also isn’t a deciding factor for me since my family will be able to financially afford either college without any aid. My question is which school is better for the major that I want to do and for my prospective career? At F&M I would be an English Major with a Creative Writing Concentration, at Emerson I would be a Writing, Literature and Publishing Major. My career goal is to become a literary agent and a successful author. Which college would be more suitable for me to achieve these goals? Thank you for your help!
Bump! I really need help to know whether or not I should accept my waitlist spot for F&M College and fight to get in, or whether I should just go with Emerson College because it is the pretty school for what I want to do anyway. Any impute from someone impartial could really help right now.
Sorry to bump again, I just feel so in my head right now, and I really would just like to hear some thoughts from others. I’m really sorry if I am annoying anyone I won’t bump again, just want to try one last time.
Perhaps if you post on the Emerson and F&M forums, you might find someone who is familiar with the respective majors at these schools.
hey! i don’t know if you made your decision yet but thats such a coincidence I’m actually pretty sure I’m transferring from franklin and marshall to emerson! I was looking for being more in the city and a more artistic and passionate student body. That being said if you did chose franklin and marshall i know a lot of people who were happy there. the greek life is a great way to meet people and the parties are fun. the teachers are great. its not a bad school it just wasn’t the right fit for me. good luck
@jdjakfnakf7 I decided on Emerson and I am very happy with my choice, so excited for classes to start.
great!!! i may be there this fall too if i can housing together as a transfer student. it seems like a great school
