<p>Although you stated that Pace BA IPE is off the table for you, Actor, I just wanted to say that your experience doing the BA IPE with a minor in Entertainment Management is entirely different from anything you would be getting in the BFA programs you were accepted to. A BA anywhere else is a different animal, but this particular Pace BA as an actor in the IPE, is a unique program where your day to day schedule is as rigorous as any BFA student taking only one true gen ed a semester at least freshman year. You would be working with a class of freshman learning how to collaborate and create a script and produce it from conception of the idea to writing the script and deciding how to market your production and then performing the project at various lcoal venues with the eventual goal of going abroad with your class to perform it. The program focuses on collaboration and improv for better or worse. The learning experience has a lot to do with the take backs you get from a collaborative experience, something that all actors will experience throughout their careers. While you are in this program your networking opportunities are limited only by your own energy. Its all there for you to grasp and create. The courses you take require you to travel all over NYC for various assignments and the profs help you make connections througout the industry even as a freshman since it led to my DD having 2 off campus gigs. 2 nights a week you are in rehearals until 10:30 so you are not performing in other productions but you can carve out your schedule some semesters to have 1 or 2 days with no or few classes so that you can audition around the city for projects that will fit in your schedule. Other days will be 10 - hours of classes. Being involved in an entertainment management program in NYC is an unparralled experience. The internship opportunities available to you are incomparable.Mason Gross BFA is a great option. Emerson has a wonderful program but I haven’t personally had a reason to look into the distinct differences of the BA and the BFA. Of course now that NYU is on the table that is another unique and fabulous opportunity that offers you a rigorous BFA studio training environment alongside rigorous academics also in the big city with all it offers. You have fabulous choices, Congratulations! I just want to be sure that the Pace BA IPE program is not lumped in as a typical BA program which its not. Just wanted to make this clear for others who may still be considering this program. It is unique and rigorous. And I also wanted to say that several students who have selected other BA programs have actually had more on stage time in Freshman year than many BFA students at least as Freshman. </p>
