Unfortunately I was rejected. I am thinking of appealing, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it. I applied as a theater Ed and performance. My stats are:
GPA; 3.78 UW, 4.88 W
SAT: 1360 (690 in math, 670 in reading)
Lots of extracurriculars, internships at theater camps, 200+ community service hours
3 letters of reccomendation: 1 from theater teacher, 1 from English teacher, 1 from math teacher
I guess it just wasn’t meant to be! Maybe I’ll apply as a transfer student later, but for now my future does not involve Emerson college. Today was sadder than I thought it would be, but that’s okay.
Honestly, even if I had gotten in, I likely wouldn’t have been able to afford it, even if I did get into the honors program and get another scholarship on top of that. So maybe not having the option to have to turn down my dream school will be comforting in the long run.
Congrats to everyone who got accepted! And even if you were denied admission like me, you still put a ton of work into your application and that is something to be proud of!
