<p>Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of the film production major in both Emerson and BU? I have really hard time to make a decision. How is the film program at Emerson is different than BU's?</p>

<p>Emerson’s film program is better than BU’s, to be quite honest. I went in for a talk with an Emerson professor and he said almost 100% of Emerson’s BFA degree students get placed in a job, and there’s a fairly substantial sort of “Emerson Mafia” out in LA. Also, this is probably biased, but he said that “most” of the BU film majors end up not going into the business. </p>
<p>BU places much less emphasis on their film majors–it’s one of the smallest divisions in the School of Communications and when I went there it felt like the Film majors were a very minor part of the program.</p>
