Eminence/Maximus Scholarships?

I got a 32 on my first try at the ACT (took it earlier this month), and I took it cold…so I think with some practice to get a better feel for the timing I could hopefully get it up to a 34 in September, maybe a 35. This would put me in the running for either of the scholarships listed above (for the Maximus you need a score of 32 or higher, 34 for Eminence), only I don’t have the class rank qualification (both require a student to be in the top 3%…I’m in the top 6-8%). Does anyone know if the class rank is an automatic cutoff? Or would my higher ACT score make up for my above 3% class rank (for the Maximus especially)?

My daughter had a 33 ACT, but her school doesn’t rank. She got the Maximus scholorship and the Narional Buckeye scholorship. She’s was in a small competitve school, no way she is in the top 3%.

Legitimately curious as to my chances for Eminence invitation.
