Does anyone know when we will hear back about the Eminence Scholarship?

I called today and they said invites for the interview are going out today or tomorrow Have you heard anything ??

I haven’t heard anything yet, hopefully tomorrow!

My son got an email that he’s one of 75 finalists who’s invited for the interview weekend on the last weekend of March. yesterday.

IamStrugglin I believe that nacho mom answered the question that was asked. The OP asked when people hear and I find it quite informative to know how many finalists there are. Thanks for the info NachoMom and congratulations to your son!!

IamStruggling… was there any particular reason you posted other than to be snarky? I agree with bhs - NachoMom was simply providing info pertaining to the previous questions. I have noticed snarky, negative or sarcastic posts from a few members here. We are all here to share information, period. Our perceptions and situations may differ but there is no need to be rude.

Life lesson and Psych 101:

  1. When someone is trying to help you, and you respond in a snarky way, they are less likely to help you in future, that is human nature like it or not.
  2. When you are offering advice and do so in a way that is rude, ill mannered and unfair, you lose your audience, even if you have good information to share. People focus on the manners, not the message, that is also human nature.
  3. I am glad to see people here stand up for what is right and good. Bodes well for the future. :)

@bhs1978‌ @laneyj2‌ I believe csmith1 already answered the question at hand. That said, NachoMom is sooooo obviously posting this to brag on her son, which a lot but not all of the parents on here tend to do. She knew that the poster had already had the question answered and really bhs? If you didn’t know how many finalists there are, then you don’t deserve to get the scholarship lol. It’s the most superficial research you can do on such a scholarship lol.

Again with the rude comments. So glad to finally know why my child was not offered the Eminence scholarship…cause apparently I don’t deserve it. Congrats to all who got an interview and good luck.

Thank you. Here’s S’s stat.
ACT:35, SAT:2330(CR-730, M-800, W-800), SAT sub:Math 2, Chem, Physics-800, USH-790, Class rank 3/335
E/C: Math Club(main club with state championship & usamo), Science Olympiad, XC, T&F, Frisbee, church youth group, Mathcounts Volunteer, Math tutor, Basketball ref, Statistic consulting for insurance app developer, etc
My son decided not to go to OSU after all so withdrew his eminence app.

@NachoMom Your son has great stats. Just curious where he will be attending in the fall?

He’ll be going to Harvard school of engineering and applied science this fall.
