Emma Watson stalked by Harvard students during football game against Brown University

From NY Daily News:

Emma Watson's hopes of being just another Ivy League student have been shattered.

The "Harry Potter" star was stalked by Harvard students while she was visiting to catch a football game between the Massachusetts school and her own, Brown University, reports People.com.

Writers for the Harvard Voice who were Tweeting live from the game posted that they'd be "possibly stalking Emma Watson, so keep your eyes peeled for that."

And that they did, searching for the 19-year-old British actress best known for playing young witch Hermione Granger in the Potter flicks.

Tweets that followed read, ""Let's go Hermione! Lolz;" "In enemy territory. Lookin for a certain witch;" and "WATSON FOUND. i repeat WATSON FOUND."

The actress reportedly appeared shaken and had to be protected by security guards.

Watson wanted nothing more than to fit in among her classmates, holding off on revealing where she would attend school until the last minute.

She has even said, "I do hope that it will be only a short time before I am known as ‘Emma Watson, the student from the UK,' rather than ‘Emma Watson who starred in those Harry Potter films.'"

But the Harvard Voice didn't see their stunt as a big deal, brushing off criticism.

"There seems to be much ado about nothing over this photo and liveblog," the Voice stated. "Understand that these live tweets were made to be intentionally outrageous and overblown."

Yeah, this was a big deal at the game.

However, you have to realize that this was CLEARLY an exaggeration by them.

Not only this, but the girl is internationally famous. The cameras went on her at the game for a moment and suddenly everyone was wondering where she sat.

My friend got a word in with her, who wouldn’t want to?

To say that she was “visibly shaken” as if she was being stalked is extremely ridiculous. When the camera went on her she could have simply waved just like EVERY other famous actor/actress does in this world. Just like every time Ben Affleck/Matt Damon/Steven King/Jennifer Aniston go to a Red Sox game. They wave and it’s over with. She needs to recognize that those dozens of millions of dollars received come with a price tag: lift your arm and wave to a camera every once in a while.

I’m sure if she wasn’t famous/rich right now from doing Harry Potter she would be wishing that she would be rich and famous one day. And having seen her, she was NOT shaken. She was simply ignoring everybody, and then when she left and got to the exit security guards went with her. OBVIOUSLY expected among ANY famous person, who would want to walk around the street with a bunch of fans after an intense football game just ended, let alone a famous person?

I’m sure she’s very, very used to it by now.

Can’t wait for the Yale-Brown game. jk. Well… maybe jk. :)
