Come on guys, cut her a little slack. Acting in Harry Potter is a hell of a lot more impressive than being head of the Key Club…

I hate the mindset that just because people have money means that the people below them deserve something more =/ (And I’m on the low end of the spectrum financially.)

After reading this information about her, I concede that she is quite possibly worthy of an Ivy caliber school. And if you check my posts on the previous page, I clearly stated that I was not bashing her, and that I (from tv interviews and such) thought she was a pretty intelligent person.

My negative statements have been directed at Hollywood and political big-shots in general who get in mostly on connections, not necessarily Emma Watson.

That would be weird to be someone famous like that in college. I suppose it’s a lot more appealing to attend Columbia or NYU when you can live in your multi-million dollar penthouse and have your personal limo driver take you to class everyday haha.

AeroEngineer: I know that Chelsea Clinton lived in the dorms at Stanford.

It’s a bit easier with the SS, I’m sure xD

mckyle, I don’t have that mindset at all. You are taking me out of context, and I actually agree with you. I’m not against famous people going to good schools, I’m just against the idea of famous people going to good schools based on their special strings to pull, not on their own merit.

I was just laughing at the idea that these poor millionaire Hollywood stars “deserve” to go to an Ivy league school because their jobs are so hard. If that’s the case, the Ivy’s better be giving full-rides to the soldiers on the front lines in the Middle East when they come home. Celebs do not in any way deserve admittance to these schools just because they “work hard.” Then again, it shouldn’t hurt them either.

The bottom line here in my argument is that everyone (actors, politician’s kids, military brats, military members, coal miners, lawyer’s kids, EVERYONE) should be on equal footing in the admissions office.

Whether or not she’s going to Yale, kudos to Watson for serving as a good role model.

ummmmmmm guise who cares…
all i want to know is if emma watson is going to yale…
if she is, im applying there, if she isnt, then im not. end of story.

ehhh. It makes me like Yale less. I know Emma Watson is really smart, but anything associated with Harry Potter annoys me to no end. If the Yale thing is a rumor, I hope to goodness she picks Oxford over Cambridge (you can only apply to one) because I like Cambridge.

her grades might be average cuz she doesn’t have time to focus as much… cuz she 's already working… look at her activities… stellar resume…

many people got into yale are stupid as …s… but with good decent ecs. Then emma, with normal to above normal brains, and with awesome ecs certainly should get in as well.

Yale isn’t impossible… i know many many average people go there… seriously. extremely average… people that look dumb b in my calculus and physics classes

Look guys, there aern’t many geniuses in the world… i bet at Harvard, there areonly about 10 or so geniuses, maybe even fewer.

When i was younger, i thought that people going to harvard, yale, upenn must be like very smart or near geniuses… now iam disillusioned… they arent even close… they are damn normal… i know many people eat my schools with bad grades AND bad Ecs got into ivys cuz they have money, legacy and are first generations…

Truthfully, people are just normal… very very few geniuses…

so don’t think that it is weird if Emma gets in… She is very bright and has done TOns of work… she mus have been he best among all those who have applied… at least much better than those legacy people i just mentioned.

I wonder what they’re lives are like in college. I’m sure they run into people who treat them poorly just because they’re famous.

I heard that when they guy who used to do Blue’s Clues (the original actor, I forget his name—Steve?) when he used to walk around, people would sing Blue Clues songs or if he sat down, they’d sing the “thinking chair” song.

I don’t know how true that is, though.

I’m pretty sure the Emma Watson has actually decided on Brown…
Here’s the proof! [Emma Watson Brown University](http://www.popcrunch.com/emma-watson-brown-university/)

i think emma deserves it. She’s actually smart.
But on the other hand, if dumb celebrities get into ivy leagues that is stupid. For example, imagine if Miley Cyrus got into Harvard. Ewww.

It’s because they have unbeatable ECs

What’s she going to major?

Damn I wish I got into Brown now ._,

Celebrities in college = more publicity for school and the possibility of a decently large alumni donation later on

Haha, I also want to know what she’s majoring in.

She’s majoring in Defense Against the Dark Arts with a concentration in Muggle Studies (sorry, couldn’t resist)

she’s still undecided. the brown rumors are completely unconfirmed.

Private colleges are a business that sells a product which includes instruction, an experience, and a piece of paper that represents, to varying degrees, a level of academic competence.

That is it. They do not owe admission to anyone. They do what is in there best financial interests (overall) at all times.

That’s it. It’s a business.
