Emmanuel College & Stonehill

Anyone familiar with it? Bio/premed? Daughter loves Boston-looking for affordable, yet decent school. Just curious. I haven't heard of these two before some major researching.

Emmanuel has a terrific location, right in the Back Bay area of Boston. However, Stonehill is much better academically. Stonehill is in a suburb quite far from Boston, probably 20 to 25 miles. Both have nice campuses. Simmons is another college located no more than a block from Emmanuel- I actually think that they are adjacent. In the past, both were women only, but now they are coed. You should also look at Suffolk U, which is in the city itself.

^ Simmons is still all women at the undergraduate level.

ive known several stonehill grads who only had positive things to say about their experiences

I have heard positive on both schools and very favorable comments on both campuses.

My son visited schools in Boston last weekend. He liked Stonehill, Emmanuel, Endicott and Suffolk. Does anyone know anything about Endicott?

As far as Stonehill and Emmanuel, I have always heard Stonehill is better overall, but not as well situated as far as location.
I do remember my son’s GC saying Emmanuel had more scholarship potential though.

ny mom - has you daughter visited Emmanuel or Stonehill? Curious to know her reaction to the two schools. My S liked both of them.
