emo?

yeah exactly: emo music is something that you are going to be ashamed of once you get over it, because although of course all teenagers have problems, very few people are capable of making good music inspired by them.

grumble

who needs emo when you've got music by a sexually repressed man who has the hots for his nephew and was clinically depressed?

Oh Tchaikovsky.

Darn tootin' tebro.

toot toot.

Let's not forget Beethoven, who had WAAAAY more problems and angst than a whole highschool of teenagers, or basically ALL the Russian/German composers.

While we're on the subject of Romantic-era artists, let's pause a moment and reflect on the Romantic poets, who were by-and-large, comsumptives and addicts and died young.

Angst's been here for a long time. The point is how well can you channel that angst into something like art...random screaming and smashing of guitars does not qualify. Of course, the difference just might be the question of opium vs. crazy unclassified cooked-up drugs.

indeed, indeed.

streetlight... what's your band's name?

I'm not a fan of ska, sorry guys.

And no offense to streetlight or anyone else, but old Catch 22 was so much better. Streetlight is just a rip off of some of the members.
