You're pretty much a lock at Emory, I think.

If I was you, I would consider applying for Emory's scholar program. Your stats are good enough to be compettitive in that program.
http://www.college.emory.edu/current/achievement/scholars/

^ the link to scholars program info

Anyways, just to be on the safe side, I would recommend showing interest by visiting or video visiting. Visiting is a good idea for two reasons 1) learn about college atmosphere 2)shows interest
Some applicants with great SATs and grades are rejected b/c they don't show a hint of interest.

I am going there for a summer program this sunday...for 10 days. Will they notice I am there, or should I stop by the admissions office?

That's a good question. I don't know. It could go either way.

What I can say is that if you are going to be at a summer program, I would recommend scheduling a campus visit and presentation on whatever date works well in conjunction with the summer program. Ten days is a long time, I bet you could squeeze a campus visit somewhere in there. http://www.emory.edu/ADMISSIONS/visit/visit-schedule.htm

Make sure you list your summer program at Emory on your application, if you do end up applying. Your attendance in that summer program shows the commitee that you are sincere about Emory.

Like I said earlier, you're a lock for Emory as long as you don't do anything stupid.. like, not writing an essay or getting straight D's next semeser. And, be sure to visit, heck, you're going to be right on campus. Lastly, you should def look into the Emory Scholar program.

Thanks a bundle. I will do that. I think that I am going to apply to Emory Scholars as well.

Just a quick note... congratulations on your hard work and efforts thus far -- your strong academic accomplishments look excellent, and I agree fully with Blaze991 that you have a superlative chance of acceptance at Emory.

To reiterate, do consider seriously the Emory Scholars Program because I think you may be able to realize a tangible benefit (merit scholarship) in doing so. As a tactic in admissions, apply RD but also apply to Emory Scholars Program -- this will require you submit your application by their Nov. 1 deadline. You will know whether you have been named a "semi-finalist" by early January, and if you are, this assures you admission into Emory, PLUS a chance for merit scholarship money. You will then be considered for "finalist", and the process will continue into the early Spring.

Meanwhile, even if Emory is your first choice, you will need to leverage your situation by applying RD to other schools as well. Unless there is some college other than Emory that is your undisputed No. 1 choice, do NOT apply Early Decision elsewhere if you decide to apply to the Emory Scholars Program -- since that would be a "binding committment" to that other college and put you out of the running for an Emory Scholars merit scholarship. The upside can be anywhere from a generous renewable scholarship that will cover partial tuition to a possible full-ride scholarship.

A hint... be prepared to plan out the timetable on this. You will need to contact your Guidance Counselor in the early Fall when you return to H.S., and ask him/her to nominate you for the Emory Scholars Program. The information is sent to your GC, and s/he will then provide the material that Emory will sent to the school directly. Start early and contact your GC soon to communicate your interest. I believe that each high school is limited to no more than 4 nominations. The ESP application is concurrent with the admissions application. Each may require different recommendations as well as separate essays. It is well worth the effort.

You evidence a strong Health Sciences bent, and Emory offers a lot of advantages here. Besides a strong undergraduate program in different disciplines, it has the surrounding influences of graduate schools in Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health... plus the adjacent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Cancer Society headquarters. The nearby Carter Center may open discovery avenues for you in the area of bioethics.
