What are some EC’s you are in? What is your essay about? What do you want to study?
From what I can see they on;y things you really have going for you is your SAT 2’s. Both your GPA and ACT are at the 25th percentile.

@collegeready2019 : Don’t rate your own essays…and there are supplemental short answer prompts/mini-essays. They are not as easy to predict and are can only be judged by the eyes of the beholder. Only your ECs and essays can truly get you over the top if you apply with those stats.

What were your AP/IB/A-levels and how many did you take versus what your school offered? How did you perform on them and on the exams? Have you engaged in other accelerated or highly engaged learning opportunities.

@emorynavy : Their GPA is most likely to be contextualized so the high number they are posting is irrelevant whether it is 25% or not. If her school ranks, it may have some meaning, or if it has sent many to Emory, she will be compared to those students.

Emory just published its stats for Class of 2022. One caveat is that Emory goes way beyond the numbers and there is no magic formula to getting admitted. Bernie’s message above is on point. You can chance yourself better than anyone here can. People on these threads can only guess and so many applicants have such similar numbers. There is a great ED1 bump at Emory, but Class of 2022 results seemed much different from Class of 2021. Nobody knows how that will l impact Class of 2023.

I know my gpa is definitely on the lower side… it’s mostly from my second year when I got a lot of Bs and a C in AP Euro that I’m scared about. Junior year was also some Bs. Getting into Emory would be an absolute dream for me. Please chance me!
