Emory Business vs Georgia Tech Industrial Engineering

So basically the title says it all. Would I be better off going to Emory, then transferring into their Gouizeta Business School my sophomore/junior year, or going to Georgia Tech for Industrial Engineering? Which yields better job placement? COA would be about the same due to financial aid (Emory a bit more expensive, nothing too drastic).

I know Emory's business school is pretty good but a BBA is becoming so over saturated and is kind of a useless degree to be honest while Georgia Tech's Industrial Engineering program is #1 in the nation. But on the other hand Engineering is a lot more stressful (especially at tech) and I feel I will be missing out on a great college experience by slaving my life away just to pull a 3.0 lol.

What should I do?

You need to decide what you want to study…If you have no preference, then I would go with Georgia Tech since its cheaper and you wont be wasting money while choosing which major you like…you can also do business at GTech…you are in-state for GTech right ?

Also remember that Georgia Tech has a great Business school if you change your mind, on the other hand I don’t know about how good Emory’s engineering programs are if you end up wanting to do that.

Yes I am instate, but the costs will be about the same. And to address the other post Emory doesn’t have engineering. I really don’t have a preference because I can see myself enjoying either. I’m just wondering which will be better long-term, as well as the the college experience itself.

Bump… Anyone?

If any interest in engineering it’s much easier to pursue as an undergrad. Business interests can always be supplemented via electives or an MBA later.

Note that GT industrial engineering does include some economics and finance type courses:
[GT Catalog :Industrial and Systems Engineering : BS Industrial Engineering](http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/colleges/coe/isye/ugrad/bsie/bsie-efs.php)
There is also space for some free electives if you want to take additional business courses.

Yea good points UCB. Bump anyone?

Since you seem conflicted on majors, you’re probably better off at Tech since it has excellent programs for both. Whereas, if you pick Emory and realize that ID is for you, you’re kind of sunk.

Georgia Tech has college football and ACC athletics…it’s something to rally around.

Emory lacks this aspect.

Something to consider that may or may not be of interest to you.
