Essays and Recommendations should all be pretty good.

Your stats look great, your GPA and you ACT are all pretty high for standard especially when your entering Emory. I actually live in GA and visited Emory before (Great campus!). Although one thing I would do is to perhaps list more competitive activities like maybe winning tennis tournaments. Colleges also like a person who stands out from the rest so make sure to also list some major things you did when you were in these clubs. These are just my thoughts and you don’t have to listen to it, but hey its a free world! :] Other than that, your stats are great! I actually just started my first account today for my stats so come check by and feel free to give feedback. Thanks! (BTW the thread name is “stats for yale”)

63% per our algorithm regular. 71% early

I think you should consider applying to schools a bit above emory. Your stats are really high.Emory is a great school, but your stats seems ivy material. Have you considered Cornell, Penn, Northwestern (all a bit above emory).

So, you think people should choose colleges based on rankings. More relevant questions would relate to choice of area study or where candidates feel more comfortable. Emory is a great school and the marginal difference in reputation among the schools you mentioned and Emory isn’t worth much.
