I have been accepted by both.

So the first question is which one is a better university?

Secondly, which one is better for international students?

Lastly, I want to major in Business and Economics, so i wanted to know if i can transfer from the college of arts and sciences in Emory to the Gouizeta School of Business in the 2nd year?

Well according to US NEWS

Emory is ranked 18th and Boston College is ranked 34th.

Then as far as business schools go business week rates Emory (Gouizeta) as #9 and Boston College (Carroll) as #17.

So if you are just going by rankings Emory has got Boston College beat pretty easily… I would probably go to Emory over BC if I were you.

Emory has nice weather too, which I can’t really say about BC.

Both are very good schools, I’m sure you would be fine at either.

As far as the transfer goes… I would assume so but you might want to talk to someone who knows a little bit more about Emory than me.

Where do you want to work?
If you want to work in NY, DC, or Boston, BC is the clear choice. If anywhere else, I would give the edge to Emory.

Emory does have a higher ranked biz school, but you can only be admitted to it after freshman and sophomore years. That means there is a significant chance you will end up doing an A&S degree in Econ at Emory instead of management. You will be with all smart kids there, so the competition will be tough. Both business schools are very well-regarded, BC is better for the northeast, Emory is better for the South, but I wouldn’t let that dictate your choice. People all over the country recognize both schools, and you could get a job in any city with a degree from either school. I’m not sure about international students. Emory and BC have decidedly different feels, I would try to squeeze in visits to both if you can.
